As soon as I got to Shakedown Street, I got a fresh bag of Oregon flowers and some cool tape covers along with them. My brothers friendwho drove me to Orlando got me on the bus while I got him in the show. We got into the show just in time to get to our seat for Jack Straw. I don't think I sat for the rest of the show. The first set rocked and went by way too fast. We slipped onto the floor for the second set. I was too young of a Deadhead to realize how cool it was to have the Reuben and Cherise. Now, I listen to it and it's bliss. The outro is sweet. The second set was a song along for the crowd as any audience tape should make obvious. The songs were fun to listen to and the band looked they had fun playing to the Florida crowd, so eager to get some of the good ole Dead music. The roof flew off the top of the arena for me in space and I laughed so hard, the guy behind me laughed his ass off, too. Oh, such, sweet bliss with a perfect stranger, too. They must have sound-checked R&C 'cause a photographer came by before the show and casually said they'd be playing it. We thought 'ya right'...but they did and it blew us all away...this version is excellent and the end jam has a cadence that's different than the original and works much better IMHO. A Crazy Fingers start leads to a 2nd set with insane jamming, especially from Phil. Plus, the interplay between Jerry and Bob after Playin' and then UJB is one of the finest examples of why I still listen to the Dead everyday. First (and one of only 2) Space>>Box of Rain. GDTRFB was arena-shattering. I cannot get enough of this show. I think this is the best Bruce show but he is not in charge, just pokin' around. Play this show LOUD!!
